Follett builds and maintains one of the largest textbook selections in the industry because we understand the importance of on-time delivery. That is why we work closely with faculty members to ensure that the books they need are in stock. Just as important, we retain all required textbooks in our stores throughout the academic term to support your students.


Our fully computerized inventory control system tracks all titles and updates our database of virtually every college textbook plus an additional 80,000 other books commonly used in the classroom. Our system also provides sales information from prior semesters or terms to make sure we order the right titles in the right quantities at the right time.

The availability of used texts and a solid buyback program are important to today's cost-conscious students. Our generous buyback program lets students know we care about their budgets. We will buy back textbooks that have been adopted for the upcoming term at up to 50% of the purchase price.

For those seeking greater upfront discounts, Follett's Rent-A-Text program saves students, on average, 50 percent or more compared to purchasing new without sacrificing the ability to highlight and take notes. As of fall 2012, Rent-A-Text has already rented more than seven million units saving students more than $300 million
