make up Follett of Canada's management staff.
Mr. Joseph T. Skaggs, Vice President
of Marketing
Joe earned a Regents B.A. from Marshall University
in Huntington, West Virginia, where he majored in Sociology
with a minor in History. Joe joined Follett as Vice President
of Operations for Follett/United Bookstores
in 1987 after thirteen years with Rite Aid Corporation. At
Rite Aid, Joe served as Assistant Vice President of the Corporation
and Senior Vice President of Operations for the specialty
retail units, Circus World Toy Stores and American Discount
Auto Parts.
Mr. Steve Pribyl, Senior Vice
President of Sales & Operations
Steve joined Follett in
1979 and prior to his present appointment, has held the positions
of Store, District, Regional and Zone Manager, as well as
Vice President of Sales & Operations. He is responsible
for store operations across all higher education segments.
Steve is a graduate of Prairie State College.
Ms. Suzanne Stegeman, Group Vice President of Sales & Operations Suzanne joined Follett in 1984 and during her tenure has held progressively responsible management positions. Suzanne has displayed her leadership by representing the field on many company initiatives, most recently serving on our continuous process improvement committee. Suzanne was promoted in 2002 to Group Vice President and serves colleges and universities in the US and Canada.
Ms. Patricia MacAulay, Regional Manager
Patricia joined Follett in 2000 as store manager at Bishop's University and was promoted to regional manager in 2007 to oversee 12 bookstores in eastern Canada including stores at the University of Ottawa and Carleton University. Prior to joining Follett, Pat worked for Eaton's department stores as a business manager in Sherbrooke, QC where she managed the company's largest trade book department in Canada. She holds in certificate in organization behavior from Ryerson University's Retail School in Toronto. Patricia is bilingual and may be contacted in both French and English.
Ms. Kim Quarrie, Regional Manager
Kim has been with Follett
of Canada since June 1995. Prior to joining Follett,
Kim managed a large volume multi-unit university bookstore.
Kim has over twelve years of operational experience, with
the last nine in management. Kim managed the Humber College
Bookstore from June of 1995 until July of 1998 when she was
promoted to the position of Regional Manager. Kim is responsible
for store operations from Western Ontario to British Columbia.
Ms. Susan Stephen, National
Buyer, General Merchandise
Susan came to Follett
of Canada in October 2001. Prior to working with Follett,
Susan was responsible for Small Medium Business across Canada
with Gateway Computers, and Gateway Country Stores in the
United States. She gained knowledge of books as General Manager
for a large volume retail bookstore chain. She also gained
retail skills from her position as Furniture Manager with
IKEA. Susan and her staff are responsible for the sales and
merchandise of all categories in the bookstore excluding
textbooks.
Ms. Melanie MacKay, Assistant Planner
Ms. Joan Henry deFrahan, Trade
Book Buyer, Intellectual Properties
Joan
has
an
Honors
Degree
from
the
University
of
Ottawa
specializing
in
the
Fine
Arts.
Joan
came
to Follett
of
Canada with
over
four
years
of
trade
buying
experience.
Her
position
prior
to Follett was
Book
Buyer
for
the
National
Gallery
of
Canada's
bookstore
and
library.
Joan
is
responsible
for
centralized
buying
and
in-store
promotional
opportunities
for
trade
publications
for
all Follett
of
Canada stores.
